The Story Behind the Space

Built by a creator who knew exactly what was missing, and decided to build it herself.

Who We Are

A Studio Space For Creative Community

W.D.P. Creative Collective Space is South Suburban Chicago’s first professional, multi-use creative production facility built specifically for our community. From an acoustically treated recording booth and a professional green screen studio to a podcast lounge and co-working space, every square foot is purpose-built.
We bring together artists, entrepreneurs, faith leaders, and storytellers under one roof to collaborate, create, and elevate their craft without the downtown commute or the downtown price tag.

Our Mission

Keeping Creative Talent in the South Suburbs

To empower south suburban creators and entrepreneurs by providing professional-grade creative facilities, fostering community collaboration, and keeping creative talent and economic activity in our neighborhoods.

Meet the Founder

An Insider's Mission

W.D.P. Creative Collective Space was born from a problem Nsenga Wilson knew personally. As a writer, actress, and independent filmmaker in the south suburbs, she spent years navigating the absence of accessible, professional creative spaces nearby — making do with makeshift setups and long commutes into the city.

When her first independent film earned recognition at a film festival, it happened in spite of the barriers, not because of the resources available. With an MBA in Marketing and 20+ years in operations and community development, she finally had both the vision and the expertise to build the space she always needed.

This isn’t an outsider’s business venture. This is an insider’s mission — rooted in the south suburbs, built for the south suburbs, by someone who has always believed in the talent that’s always been here.

The People Behind the Mission

Building a Creative Community, Together

W.D.P. Creative Collective Space is powered by a team of creators, professionals, and community advocates who believe the south suburbs deserve access to world-class creative resources. Together, we’re committed to fostering collaboration, supporting local talent, and creating a space where ideas, businesses, and stories can thrive.
